Seventh edition hardcover. Burgundy cloth with gilt titles to front and spine. Including thirty-six plates, in generally very good condition, although one is creased. There are a number of enclosures in the book: Eleven pieces of paper or card, either postcards or postcard-sized paper, containing handwritten notes and medical illustrations, some on both sides, and a further, larger, folded sheet of paper, also containing handwritten notes and medical illustrations (the producer of these is unknown) Four examination papers for the Fellowship Examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Two copies of photographs of a letter (three photographs each) giving an account of the letter-writer’s “operation for drainage in septic tuberculosis hips”, following a request for this information from an author of a book on orthopedic surgery. That author is not named in the letter. The spine has a forward lean (the binding remains sound), the boards show some light wear, and there is some mild discolouration to textblock edges. Internally there are a few spots and occasional markings but the contents are generally clean. 96 pages. Size 21.9 x 14.4 x 1.7 cm. The pictures are of the actual items for sale.
