The first instalment of the history, spanning eight centuries, of the growth of South Edinburgh, its people, houses and institutions, within the area of Grange in the east to Craiglockhart in the west, and from Bruntsfield in the north to Swanston in the south, with a special emphasis on Morningside. The Pair books Volume 1 and 2 are in good condition and comes with dust cover. Volume 1 has a clipped dust cover with some wear around the edges, discolouration and a tear at the bottom of the spine. The book itself is discoloured. Volume 2 has a dust cover with some wear to the edges and slight discolouration, the book has an inscription on the reverse of the endpapers at the front.
